Sandra Wright RN, Ed.D.

Dr. Sandra Wright was appointed by the Tyler County Commissioners Court in August, 2004 to replace Judge Allen Sturrock as the representative for Tyler County. Dr. Wright earned nursing degrees from Angelina College and Stephen F. Austin State University, a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from the University of Texas Dallas, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. Currently the Chief Executive Officer for the Tyler County Hospital District, Dr. Wright serves in numerous leadership capacities in the Tyler County Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors for the Methodist Health Care Systems in Houston, Leadership Southeast Texas Alumni, Pineywoods Economic Partnership, Pineywoods Retirement Development Council, and the Southeast Texas Hospital Association.
