Community Support
Burke Center provides community support to
individuals based on their needs. A Service Coordinator is assigned
to assist individuals by serving as an advocate to link them to
designated services within the community. Community support involves
working within the community to help the individual locate and
access community services.
Burke Center operates a 3-bed residential unit with 24 hour staff
supervision to provide families and caretakers with a temporary
reprieve from the daily care and supervision of their family member
with mental retardation or a related condition. The unit is open
each weekend and one designated week each month.
