Judge Charles Mitchell

Charles Mitchell was appointed to serve on the Burke Center Board of Trustees in August and September of 2000 by Sabine and San Augustine Counties.  That same fall, Mr. Mitchell was elected to serve as District Judge for the 273rd Judicial District.  Judge Mitchell graduated with a B/A/ degree from the University of Texas and obtained his law degree from the University of Houston.  In addition to private practice, Judge Mitchell has also served as assistant to the District Attorney and as District Attorney.  Through the years, Judge Mitchell has been very active in civic and youth activities in the East Texas area, and he also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Pineland State Bank.
