Lotus Lane Cottages
With appropriate supports, persons with mental illness can live
independently and provide for their own needs.
The goals of this unit are to provide quality, inexpensive housing
to persons with chronic mental illness so that they may reside in
the community.
Persons must be receiving services from the Burke Center, must have
demonstrated reasonable capacity in basic independent living skills,
must have resided in the 12-county region served by the Burke Center
for the six-month period prior to being considered a tenant and have
an adequate and reliable source of income. All tenants sign a
standard lease agreement.
Fairweather Lodge
Fairweather Lodge is a residential facility for persons with mental
illnesses, who are capable of fairly independent living, yet can
benefit from residing in a group living arrangement, and are willing
to participate in a work collective. The goal is to live and work
together, acquiring personal and professional skills that can
eventually lead to an even more independent life style.
